Videos that teach deserve tools built for teaching.

A good tutorial needs two things that general-purpose editors don’t help much with. The first is planning: knowing who it’s for, what they should be able to do afterwards and what you’ll say over each click. That usually lives in a doc, a spreadsheet and a pile of bookmarks, far from the edit.

The second is pointing at things. Zooming into the button, drawing an arrow to it, numbering the steps, blurring the email address. In most editors, each of those is fiddly enough that people skip it, and the video is harder to follow because of it.
