What’s new in FluidEditor

What we’ve shipped, newest first.

  1. v1.3

    Screen guides, annotations and scenes

Everything you need to make tutorials and explainers on the same timeline as your footage.

    • Record a tab, window or screen, with mic and system audio, straight onto the timeline.
    • Zoom & pan: press Z and drag a box on the preview. Zooms show on the clip and can be dragged and resized.
    • Polished frame: put any recording on a background with padding, corners, shadow and a browser-window frame.
    • Highlight, spotlight, blur and pixelate, numbered step badges, callouts and keyboard-shortcut chips.
    • Shapes, lines and curved arrows that draw themselves on, plus colour, gradient and image backgrounds.
    • A searchable icon library, framed screenshots and scene templates: title card, bullets, steps, before/after, quote and outro.
  2. v1.2

    Sound, captions and colour

Make it sound right, read right and look right.

    • Voice-over recording at the playhead, with other tracks ducking under your voice.
    • Track volume, mute and solo, and loudness normalised to −14 LUFS on export.
    • Captions: import and export SRT and WebVTT, text presets, outlines and in/out animations.
    • Colour looks (Vivid, Warm, Cool, B&W, Faded, Moody) and manual adjustments, blur and blur fill.
    • Eleven transitions, speed changes, reverse and freeze frames.
    • Keyframes for position, scale, rotation and opacity; edit and crop directly on the preview.
  3. v1.1

    Faster editing

Keyboard-first editing for people who edit a lot.

    • J K L playback, frame stepping and jumping between edit points.
    • Split, split all tracks, ripple delete, nudge, slip, unlink audio and duplicate.
    • Markers, in and out points, box-select and copy and paste between projects.
    • Find library media quickly from inside a project.
