Privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

Draft. This policy is a starting draft and is pending legal review. It may change before FluidEditor’s public launch.

This policy explains what information FluidEditor collects, why, and what you can do about it. FluidEditor is operated by Aeflow (“we”, “us”). If anything here is unclear, email hello@fluideditor.com.

Information we collect

Your account

You sign in to FluidEditor with an Aeflow account, using a one-time code sent to your email or your Google account. We receive your name, email address and, if you have one, your profile picture from that account.

Your content

We store what you put into FluidEditor so we can provide the service: projects and their planning, research and script notes, timelines, media you upload or record (video, audio and images), and the exports we render for you. Screen and voice-over recordings are made in your browser and uploaded to your library only when you record them.

Workspaces and invitations

If you create or join a workspace, we store your membership and role. If you invite someone, we store their email address and send them an invitation.

Messages you send us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them to reply.

Technical information

Like most web services, our servers log requests, including IP addresses, browser details and timestamps, to keep the service secure and fix problems.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are needed for the site and app to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don’t track you across other sites.

How we use your information

  • To run FluidEditor: store your projects and media, process uploads, render exports and show you progress.
  • To let you work with others in shared workspaces.
  • To send messages about your account, such as invitations and important service changes.
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to answer your questions.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use your videos or project content for advertising or to train AI models.

Where your data is stored

Uploaded media and exports are kept in S3-compatible cloud object storage. Videos are processed and rendered on our servers. Files are served through short-lived signed links, so a link to one of your files stops working after a short time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run FluidEditor, such as hosting, storage and email delivery, and only as much as they need to do that work. People in your workspaces can see the projects and media in those workspaces, according to their role. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is active. When you delete media, projects or exports, we remove them from storage. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your content within a reasonable period, except where we must keep something by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email hello@fluideditor.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

FluidEditor isn’t intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app.
