Product
What is FluidEditor?
A video editor that runs in your browser, made for videos that teach or explain something: software tutorials, product demos, how-tos, lessons and explainers. Record your screen, then zoom in, point at what matters, add captions and a voice-over, and export a finished video. You can also plan and script the video in the same project.
Who is it for?
People who make videos that teach or explain: product and support teams, educators, trainers and YouTube creators with how-to channels. You can edit any footage with it, but the planning and annotation tools are where it stands out.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop. Final exports render on our servers, so your computer’s speed doesn’t limit the result.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
You can watch exports anywhere, but editing is designed for a desktop or laptop screen with a keyboard.
Who makes FluidEditor?
FluidEditor is made by Aeflow. More about us.

Recording & editing
Can I record my screen?
Yes. Record a browser tab, a window or your whole screen, with your microphone and the tab or system audio if you want them. The recording goes into your library and onto the timeline at the playhead.
Does it zoom in automatically where I click?
No. A web page can’t see clicks in other apps. Instead, press Z and drag a box on the preview; the zoom eases in, holds and eases out, and you can adjust it on the timeline.
Can I record voice-over?
Yes, right on the timeline against the picture. Other tracks can duck under your voice automatically, and exports can be loudness-normalised for streaming.
What about captions?
Import or export SRT and WebVTT, type captions on the timeline, or lay your script’s narration out as text. Automatic captions from speech aren’t available yet.
What annotations are there?
Arrows, lines, rectangles and ellipses, highlight, spotlight, blur and pixelate, numbered step badges, callouts, keyboard-shortcut chips and icons. See all features.
What can I export?
YouTube 1080p, Shorts and Reels at 9:16, 4K UHD, MP3 or WAV audio, or a custom size and quality.
Can I use my own footage, music and images?
Yes. Upload video, audio and images to your media library and use them in any project in the workspace.
03
Plans & billing
How does the free trial work?
Sign up and you get 14 days with every feature, so you can make and export a real video. At the end, choose a plan to keep editing. Your projects and media stay where they are.
How much does it cost?
Pro is $9.99 a month, or $8.25 a month billed yearly, for one person with 5 GB of storage. Team is $49.99 a month for 5 people with 50 GB. See pricing.
Are any features limited to Team?
No editing features are. Pro has every tool. Team adds people, roles and a shared workspace and library, and more storage.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, any time. You can move between monthly and yearly billing, or between Pro and Team.
We need more people or storage.

04
Account & data
How do I sign in?
With your Aeflow account, using a one-time code sent to your email or your Google account. New users get an account the first time they sign in.
Who owns my videos?
You do. We store your media and projects to run the service for you, and we don’t use your content for anything else. See the privacy policy.
Where are my files stored?
Uploads and exports are stored in cloud object storage, and renders run on our servers. Files are reached through short-lived signed links.
What happens to a team’s work when someone leaves?
Projects and media belong to the workspace, not to the person who made them. Remove someone and everything they made stays.
